I lived overseas in the Marshall Islands living in a room sometimes with several roommates and we had to use furniture to separate the place of one roommate from the other using wardrobes. You could put your suitcases on top of the wardrobe and hang your clothes in the wardrobe and it deaden the noise from other rooms across the hall.
Now I am living in a one bedroom house with carport which I definitely do like. One thing that I have found out is that if you are looking for a place or building, give yourself storage space whether closet space or bookcases to put into various places.

3rd. Read Catherine Ponder books who talk about Prosperity in the Bible. I was reading something recently in one of her books in which she was saying that is something you have been praying about has not happen, clean out your house and your thoughts and great things will start to happen to you. I guess you did that. Congratulations. From reading your blog/newsletter and Humble Homes newsletter has started me thinking about what I want with a house of my own which has always been a dream. The great thing about both of your newsletter is that I can see something I do like and add it to something else and so on and not get stuck with a homogenized house/apt but something that I would love to come home to each and every day if I was working or having to do errands. Thanks for the ideas.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
